Photofacial, is a non-invasive skincare treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to improve the overall health and appearance of the skin. The treatment involves exposing the skin to low-level LED lights, which penetrate the skin at different depths and stimulate cellular activity. During this treatment we apply a light-emitting device to the skin that emits a specific wavelength of light, typically red or blue, which is absorbed by the skin cells and triggers different cellular responses. Red light therapy is commonly used to stimulate collagen production, reduce inflammation, and improve skin texture and tone as well as improving circulation and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Blue light therapy is commonly used to kill acne-causing bacteria, reduce inflammation, and improve the appearance of oily or acne-prone skin.
